Vocational Rehabilitation
A Team Approach to Help You Return to WorkThe goal of vocational rehabilitation is to get my clients back to work, either in the line of work they were in prior to the injury or in a new line of work that will accommodate their new ability. If you need assistance in regaining your work skills, contact me today at 952-236-4309. Strategies to get you Back to WorkIndividuals injured in work related accidents are entitled to up to 156 weeks of vocational rehabilitation through the workers' compensation system. This means that if you are injured and you can't return to your job you can turn to me for help. I have worked with an excellent team of qualified rehabilitation consultants (QRCs) who help my clients make their way back to work. You can rest assured that the QRCs will work with you to determine the kind of work you are able to do; your strengths, abilities and weaknesses; and if/when you will be able to return to your previous work. Looking out for my ClientsVictims of workplace injuries need to be careful where they seek vocational rehabilitation. Some programs are run by insurance companies and aren't covered by the workers' compensation system or won't get you the training you need to find new employment. It is important to consult a lawyer who understands the rehabilitation process and has worked in the system with reputable QRCs. I have nearly 30 years experience in workers' compensation and, as an attorney, it is the only area in which I practice. Prior to opening my own firm I worked for the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry's workers' compensation division. This experience has put me in touch with some of the best resources and knowledge in workers' comp. I have a deep understanding of the system and its players and I put this information to work for my clients. I also take the time to listen to my clients to determine their desires and interests in an effort to find each one the proper program to get them back to work.
